Yoga Retreat FAQ

Q. Who can organize a retreat?
A. Just about anybody can organize a retreat.  If you can get together a group of students who are interested in spending a weekend together, then Swami Kripananda will make himself available to conduct it for you.. An existing yoga Studio / Retreat Center are a great help since the space is conducive for yoga and meditation. Alternatively, it is possible to rent a school hall or a town hall for the occasion.  In this case all participants need to make appropriate arrangements for their boarding and lodging.  Most weekend retreats include light yoga exercises blended with meditation and yoga philosophy. Yoga intensives are also available on request.

Q. Who can attend Swami Kripananda’s retreats?
A. Just about anybody can attend the retreats conducted by Swami Kripananda. Beginners are welcome to the retreats.  If you have a medical condition, however, it is important that you consult with your doctor and inform us about the condition so we can make the necessary preparations to accommodate you. The postures are practiced through internal adjustments so both beginners as well as advanced students will be able to practice the same exercises together.

Q. Do I have to bring anything to the retreat?
A. If mats and other props are not available at the retreat center, the same can be arranged by our team. Yoga Mats, Blocks and Yoga Ties are a great asset to yoga posturing.

A. Please dress comfortably and bring a Yoga Mat with you.

Q. How many people can attend a retreat?
A. Most weekend retreats are attended by an average of 10 to 15 people.
